COVID-19 Vaccination

Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association, Carefirst Family Health Team and Scarborough Health Network has come together to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Carefirst One-Stop Multi-Services Centre. We are pleased to keep our community safe and healthy through our Scarborough COVID-19 vaccine clinic. We encourage everyone who is eligible to get the vaccine.

The Carefirst COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic hours as follow:

    - Age 12 and above: Monday and Friday 10 am to 2 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10 am to 6 pm

    - Age 5 to 11: Monday and Friday 3 pm to 6 pm

We are administering the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dose of Moderna vaccine to the community. The Pfizer vaccine is reserved for those who are 5 to 29 years of age only. 3rd dose and Children ages 5 to 11 by appointment only www.scarbvaccine.ca


3rd Dose Eligibility (Appointment Only)

Vaccinating those who are 18 to 29 years old (Pfizer) and 30+ years old (Moderna)

Must have received 2nd dose of any vaccine 3 months ago


1st and 2nd Dose Eligibility (Pediatric Doses Appointment Only, All Others May Walk-In before 12:00pm)

Vaccinating those who are 5 to 29 years old (Pfizer) and 30+ years old (Moderna)

For 2nd dose: Must have received 1st dose of Pfizer 21+ days ago, Moderna 28+ days ago, OR AstraZeneca 8+ weeks ago

COVID-19 Test Centre


New Testing Criteria

The general public is no longer eligible for testing as per Ontario guidelines set on December 31st 2021.
With proof, we provide testing for symptomatic people in the following groups:
  • Patient-facing healthcare workers
  • Staff, volunteers, residents/inpatients, essential care providers, and visitors in hospitals and congregate living settings
  • Patients for whom COVID-19 treatment is being considered
  • Homeless individuals
  • First Nation, Inuit, and Métis communities and individuals travelling into these communities for work
Exceptions can be found on ontariohealth.ca
You must pre-book your testing appointment at carefirstontario.ca
ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-IN
Carefirst will not provide any certificate of swab testing for travel purposes. Results will take 2 – 4 days.
Swab tests are free of charge. We will not ask for your credit card or banking information.

  • The York Region COVID-19 Voluntary Isolation Centre is available to residents facing complex barriers who are unable to safely self-isolate away from others in their household. There is no cost for eligible residents to stay at the centre and the stay is entirely voluntary. Learn more at york.ca/isolationcentre.
  • If you need financial assistance in order to take 10 to 14 days off work to self-isolate, you may be eligible to receive emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities and food. Call Access York at 1-877-464-9675 ext. 72500 (TTY 1-866-512-6228) or email accessyork@york.ca to find out if you are eligible to self-isolate at the centre and/or receive additional supports during your self-isolation period.
