Celebrate Health Fest 2026
Celebrate Health 2026 brought the community together on September 12 for a lively day of learning, connection and fun at Markham YMCA. Co-hosted by Carefirst, Eastern York Region Ontario Health Team, and Markham YMCA, this year carried the theme “Healthy Families. Thriving Communities.” Throughout the day, community members had opportunities to discover health and social services, take part in wellness activities, and connect with organizations supporting the well-being of local families. Guests could explore interactive health workshops, cooking demonstrations, fitness activities, performances, family friendly activities, photo booths, free blood sugar checks, community resources, and more than 20 information booths. The celebration also gave back to the community through a food drive supporting Markham Food Bank and 105 Gibson Food Bank. We are grateful to all our officiating guests, community organizations, volunteers, staff and participants who enthusiastically came together to make Celebrate Health 2026 another meaningful and sucessful event! Thank you to our partner agencies and exhibitors for sharing your expertise, servies and resources with our community! Together, we continue to build healthier families and stronger, more connected communities.
