Reason to Establish the Foundation

Since its first inauguration, the Foundation’s Board has developed a strategic plan on how to realize its commitment to Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association. The goal is to raise $6 million to facilitate the development of Carefirst One-Stop Multi-Service Centre, which will provide an easy access to integrated social, medical and recreational services for community members in Scarborough.

Fundraising Channels

Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association and Carefirst Foundation works together from time to time for organizing a great variety of fundraising events. The major events organized by Carefirst include the Annual Young at Heart Charity Gala, Radiothon, Charity Walk, Charity Sales, and mini-concerts.

We are very thankful for the generosity of many community partners, organizations and stakeholders that have held fundraising events and designated Carefirst as the beneficiary.

Equally important, a number of philanthropic donors in the community, recognizing Carefirst’s vision of building the One-Stop Multi-Services Centre, have donated significant amount of fund and brought us closer to our fundraising target.
